Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since the end of the 1980s. Known for her work in television and in film from the mid-80s onwards, she's been awarded numerous awards including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She was born and raised at home in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister, and their mother moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was 5 years old. The father of the family had divorced their mother. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in highschool and realized that acting is what she was looking to pursue. Yale University New Haven Connecticut, where she received her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, the year 1980. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grades), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda for the action movie, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
